Day of the Dead Rosary

$70.00

This day of the dead rosary is a skull rosary to help us "memento mori" when we pray (sometimes misspelled "memento morie"). It's important for us to remember death when we pray because the whole purpose of this life is to attain paradise when we die. Never lose sight of what really matters. Day of the dead or "Día de los muertos" often shortened to just "dia de muertos" is a day for us to remember our departed loved ones who have gone before us and may need our prayers in purgatory. All Souls day November 2nd is the day after All Saints day November 1st, but it's appropriate to remember the dead throughout November especially and whenever you pray it is right and just to remember the faithful departed that they may rest in peace. The multicolored skull or two toned skull in the centerpiece of this rosary is also often called a sugar skull the other skull bead used is also decorated traditionally like an image appropriate for the Day of the Dead. All Saints Day and All souls day are also the source of traditions like Halloween costumes, although costumes, and women's costumes especially nowadays do not reflect this prayerful source of these traditions. We pray this day of the dead sugar skull rosary will be a blessing to you and your departed loved ones. May the Holy Spirit bless you and them in prayer. If you are interested in adding spiritual warfare prayers to your prayer routine as well please take a look at our St. Benedict chaplet. For more on prayer beads rosaries resources you may also want to check out the rosary center. And look up other feast days and celebrations in mexico like Mexico day for more prayer opportunities. Day of the dead is prevalent no just in Mexico, but in the Philippines too and any country with a large Spanish influence.

Beautiful Rosary. Heavy, which I wanted. I might swap out the crucifix, and make it heavier!?!
